Cloud Security
The set of policies, technologies, and controls used to protect data, applications, and infrastructure hosted in cloud computing environments.
Cloud security follows a shared responsibility model: the cloud provider secures the infrastructure, but you are responsible for securing your data, access controls, and configurations within the cloud. Malaysian businesses using Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or AWS must understand that a misconfigured cloud storage bucket or overly permissive access policy can expose customer data — and the PDPA liability falls on you, not the cloud provider.
