Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
An authentication method requiring two or more independent verification factors — something you know, something you have, and something you are.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) extends two-factor authentication by potentially using three or more factors: knowledge (password, PIN), possession (phone, security key), and inherence (fingerprint, face). For Malaysian businesses handling sensitive data, MFA on all admin and financial systems is a practical PDPA compliance measure that significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access.
